A family homestay on the north coast of Nias, run by people who grew up between the reef and the palm gardens.
Last updated 21 October 2026
Our family has lived on this stretch of coast for generations. When the first travelling surfers knocked on our door asking for a place to sleep, we cleared a room, cooked them dinner and showed them the reef. Over the years that one room became five, the garden filled with hammocks and the kitchen table grew longer, but the idea stayed the same: welcome guests the way we welcome family.
Simple comfort. Clean rooms, good beds, mosquito nets and fans, and a hot shower after a long session.
Local first. Our team, our fish, our vegetables and our guides come from the villages around us.
Respect for the island. We reduce plastic, refill water bottles and ask guests to respect the reefs and the culture.
Honest information. Clear prices, clear terms and straight answers about the waves, the roads and the weather.
The homestay is a short walk from a white-sand beach, with a palm garden, a shaded lounge, board racks and outdoor showers. Read more on the facilities page, meet the team or look through the gallery.
Ya'ahowu! (The traditional greeting of Nias, a wish for blessings.)
